Welcome to Saxon Villa's Website
Heather and Des welcome you to Saxon Villa; friendly, relaxed comfortable bed and breakfast accommodation located in the attractive village of Fylingthorpe close to the historic and ever popular Robin Hood’s Bay. Saxon Villa is the perfect base for a short get away or longer stays. You can be in Whitby in 10 or Scarborough in 25 minutes. We are a short walk to upper (1/2 mile) and lower bays and are 200 yards from the Fylingdales Inn. Within 10 minutes you can be at the bottom of the Bay. We are also a five minute stroll from the Cleveland Way and Cycle Path.
Saxon Villa is a delightful family home which was built in its superb prominent position overlooking Robin Hood’s Bay in 1897. It was completely refurbished and redecorated between August and December 2011 using a successful mix of traditional Victorian features, contemporary comforts and finished with a beach theme.
Saxon Villa B&B enjoys private car parking and a covered secure area for cycles and motorcycles. The house faces south east and enjoys beautiful uninterrupted views over open countryside towards the coastline and to the sea beyond. The lovely, peaceful gardens have stunning, panoramic views of the countryside towards Robin Hood's Bay and Ravenscar.
Saxon Villa has four spacious luxury rooms to lure you back after a day out – all have en-suites, three of the rooms have sea views and one has rural views. All have wall-mounted flat screen televisions and DVD players. The large, beautifully and serenely decorated rooms provide the perfect space to relax, read, watch Tv or a film.
Guests can indulge in a hearty breakfast whilst taking in the spectacular country views. We offer a comprehensive Breakfast Menu. Nearly all of our breakfast ingredients are locally sourced, are free-range and organic whenever possible. Should you decide to take one of the many stunning coastal or rural walks we can provide a packed lunch.
